Application PerformanceUHF Event Timing UHF event timing is a technology that is commonly used for accurately timing sports events, such as track and field competitions, where the difference between first and second place can be a matter of fractions of a second.

In UHF event timing, the athletes wear transponders, which are small electronic devices that transmit a unique signal. These transponders are typically attached to the athlete's shoes or bibs.

At various points throughout the course or track, there are UHF antennas, which are also known as timing mats. These antennas detect the signal from the transponder as the athlete passes over them. The time at which the athlete passes over each antenna is recorded and sent to a computer.

RFID Race Time Tags are highly reliable, durable, and efficient enough to be easily read by the reader for tracking, time recording, and identification under fast-moving conditions. These tags have the ability to store information relating to the specific item to which they are attached, and rewrite .

Compared to the conventional PET/PVC timing tags, this timing antenna with foam is more popular. The 3mm thick foam effectively isolates the human body from the reading distance of the RFID tag, while increasing the toughness of the timing tag and providing some protection for the chip.

In addition, excluding the influence of sweat on the tag, conventional RFID timing tags cannot directly contact metal, so foam added timing tags have a wider range of applications.
